Rafting in Yosemite

MERCED RIVER

The most popular location for rafting near Yosemite is located 35 miles west of Yosemite Valley, off Highway 140. Even with a Class III-IV level of difficulty, kids starting from twelve years-old can still enjoy this activity, making rafting in Merced perfect for the whole family.

Day trips usually cost $159. Each trip includes a professional guide, equipment, shuttle, and delicious meals. The typical rafting season for this river is April to mid-July.

TUOLUMNE RIVER

Tuolumne is the most popular destination for experienced rafters, and is perfect for people who enjoy the wilderness. Located 40 miles west of Yosemite Valley, off Highway 120, this river is popular for its long and boulder-strewn rapids.

Day trips cost $269. A guide is available for each trip and all the necessary equipment and meals are included in the package. The best time for rafting in Tuolumne is from April until early September.
